One of our Tiny Instructors this season! Julissa brings a bright, nurturing energy to our youngest dancers, helping them build confidence and a love for folklorico from day one.

Our second Tiny Instructor, Andrew, brings approximately 10 years of folklorico experience and a fun, encouraging teaching style that keeps our little ones engaged and excited to learn.

Our Level 1 instructor Veronica is a Mexican Folklorico dancer with over 10 years of experience. She focuses on strong foundations, technique, and building pride in culture for new dancers.

Melqui. Velazquez

B. Isabel Piña is the Founder and Director of Folklórico de Las Vegas formely known as Ballet Folklórico de Mi Tierra. With over 15 years of experience as an educator, and choreographer, she is dedicated to preserving and sharing the traditions of Mexican folklórico through dance and cultural education.

Isabel has performed at festivals and major venues across the United States, collaborating with renowned mariachi ensembles and artists, including Ezequiel Peña. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Danza Folklórica Mexicana from Escuela Superior de Danza in Guerrero, Mexico, and continues to expand her expertise through professional organizations and folklórico festivals. Through her teaching and leadership, she inspires cultural pride, artistic excellence, and a lifelong appreciation for Mexican heritage.

Melqui Velazquez is a Las Vegas native with over 13 years of experience in Ballet Folklórico Mexicano as a performer, educator, and cultural ambassador. He teaches Ballet Folklórico in the Clark County School District and is an instructor with Ballet Folklórico De Las Vegas.

Melqui has performed alongside renowned artists including Pepe Aguilar, Ezequiel Peña, and Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán, as well as at the prestigious Lowell Folk Festival. A member of the Asociación Nacional de Maestros de Danza Popular Mexicana and an accomplished mariachi musician, he is dedicated to preserving Mexican folkloric traditions while inspiring cultural pride, artistic excellence, and a lifelong appreciation for Mexican heritage through dance.
